Improving the quality of life for animals in the Gila Valley through education and awareness.
This map is our goal for a completed dog park. While we plan to build the park in phases the estimated total cost is between $20,000-$30,000 total. *Click Image to Enlarge*
Starting from HWY 191 head towards the fairgrounds (address to the right). Once entering the park you will turn towards the office, slightly after the office you will turn left and take the rd around the ponds to the back parking lot. There you will see the Dog Park. *Click Image to Enlarge*
Help us build a dog park in Graham County!
Dogs parks encourage families to spend time with their pets, as well as other dogs and people. Dog parks allow people to exchange tips with other dog owners, and help each other solve problems. Dog parks provide a space for dogs to exercise, avoid boredom and destructive behaviors, and learn good manners. All of this makes dogs easier to live with, and they are less likely to be given up for adoption, or worse, abandoned. Listed below are more benefits of a dog park:
* Promotes responsible pet ownership and provides an efficient tool for educating dog owners.
* Well-exercised dogs are happy dogs, and are more likely to be quiet, good neighbors.
* Dog parks create a sense of community and forge friendships among users, as playful dogs break the ice between strangers.
* Dog parks provide senior and the disabled community members with an accessible place to exercise their pets
* Dog parks can increase property values, bring visitors to town who patronize town businesses, and attract new residents.
